The moonroof glass is stuck in the open position and will not close?

I can hear the motor trying to close every time I press the button. The shade opens and closes. Need help figuring out the problem.

This unit is driven by cables and a regulator much like a door window. What happens is a cable breaks or one of the support wheels gives way and allows the cable to "wad up" you will need to lower the headliner and replace the cable drive unit; it sounds like the motor still works so you are good there. here are the instructions on how to replace the moon roof cable drive assembly in the images below. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
