Cruise control is not working. I showed to one of mechanics and he mentioned it might be because of bad brake light switch. Does Brake light switch has any connection or can have an impact on cruise control, and make it inoperative.

Hello,

When you have an inoperative cruise control, one of the first item to check is the brake light switch.
As you know when you press the brake pedal the cruise control disengages, it is due to the brake light switch being depressed, which has connection to the cruise control module.

So first check the brake light switch connector for any corrosion or loose wires.

Here is a helpful video:

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
