Raise and safely support the vehicle.
Remove the front wheel and tire assemblies.
Remove the front mud guard and splash shield, if necessary to access the speed sensor wiring.
During removal, be careful when handling the projection at the tip of the speed sensor and the toothed edge of the ABS rotor so they are not damaged
Remove the bolts and the front ABS speed sensor
To install:
Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
Once the sensor is installed, perform the sensor check, as follows:
Check to see if any metallic foreign debris is stuck to the projection at the speed sensor tip. Remove all foreign material. Also check to see if the pole piece is damaged. Replace with a new one if it-s damaged
Measure the resistance between the speed sensor terminals. The proper range is 1.24-1.64 kilo-ohms.
If the internal resistance of the speed sensor falls outside of the range, replace it with a new sensor
