i have a 1996 mitsubishi gallant with 155,000 miles on a 2.4 liter. the problem is when i park it, it loses about 2-3 quarts of transmission fluid over 1-2 month time. could it be the gasket or the pan? does the fluid sit below the gasket line when it is parked level?

Replace the gasket-its above the gasket line
