My Starter Location

I believe that the cable from the battery to the starter has come loose from my starter. I am having a problem locating my starter so that I may reattach the cable. Can you help me with this please?

It would be most helpful if you could supply what type of car, and engine? Year? But generally it's either on the right or the left at the end of the block that bolts to the transmission...
