Engine sqealing.

2001 Mitsu. Monter Sport was sqealing for about a week and it stopped yesterday. Do I need to get the belts checked?

If it happens again see if you can find out where the squeeling is comming from. The reason I say this is that it could be the belt or a pulley going bad. If you have the belt replaced have the pulleys checked for play.
