My Mirage would die on me whenever I stopped. I took out the alternator and it was bad (7.4V). I also replaced the Battery because it had tested bad as well. Now when I drive my battery light and hand brake light flicker on and off. It does not stay lite but as I drive they light up and then go out if I accelerate more or touch the brake.

these lights coming on together indicate problem in alternator voltage regulator. double check the wiring to the alternator and make sure you didnt leave a plug loose or the feed wire a little loose, also check the tension on the belt. is there a loud squeel when running from the belt area?
