Transmission problem
1995 Mitsubishi 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Manual 121xxx miles

Hi, I have a '95 Gsx 5-speed. When I let off the throttle it seems like I hear a grinding noise from he Transfer case or the transmission, it is only when I let off the throttle so the car is in a gear, if it is put in neutral the noise is not present. It is only when it is in gear at about 2500 RPms or higher, and last question what causes crank walk?

Hmm, to me it sounds like you have a main bearing inside the transfer case that has gone out, to be sure you can drain some oil out of the transfer case to see if there are metal flakes inside, Here is how the job is done and new oil inside the unit can help as well. Check out the images (below). Let us know what you find.
