My 1991 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION has reverse park and neutral but no forward gears coul it be the shifter cable or is it the transmission?

Try manually engaging it -if it moves forward adjust the linkage/cable if not the transmission has internal problem. To find out what's wrong have it pressure tested.
