1990 Other Mitsubishi Models blackish smoke

Hi when I start my van blackish grey smoke comes out only when I first start it in the morning, petrol is octane 95, runs not good until its warm, plus does it have a cambelt thanks

Hi there,

your engine will have a cam belt. Black smoke is a sign of a rich mixture, so I would be checking the cold start system and do a fuel rail pressure test as well. You may have a leaking injector.
