1984 Other Mitsubishi Models Throttle wide open

My 1984 Mitsubishi was going down the road and going over a hill decided to accelerate by itself. the throttle does not seem to be stuck yet it continues to idle and run at a fast rate of speed. Any help would be appreciated.
