2003 Mitsubishi Montero sevice engine light

My service engine light came one and my montero was turning off when I stoped it. I had the battery checked and it indicated that I needed a new battery. After we put in the correct battery the clock will not come on and the radio will not keep preset stations. The engine light has come on and stayed on and it was trying to die when I had stopped, but only once not all the time.

Go to an Auto Zone have codes read then post will advise. also check fuse #1 in engine compartment box
