2002 Mitsubishi Montero wheel hub assembly rear removal

How do I remove the rear wheel hub assembly? I see four bolts that need to be removed but I can't get a wrench on them because of there is a toothed gear (I think it part of an indicator of ABS) in the way.

Do have have to take the axil or something else apart? Is there a special tool?
