Does my car listed above have a cabin air filter and if so, where is it located? I just dismantled the glovebox and not sure how to reach it.

looks as if your model does not use one, i had a look on Mitchel 1 data base and it shows a filter if used behind the glove box as shown in the picture below, but just to make sure please advise engine and trim level on your car, so i can do an exact search.

It is the 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sports, V6 3.0, rear transmission, XLS model.

I put your car details in the data base and it came up with no result, so i would say that your vehicle is not fitted with a cabin filter.
