I've got a 2001 Montero Sport XS 3.5L V6.I've recently had the battery, main accessory pulley and the alternator replaced. I was driving home today and my charging & brake lights came on.I lost all power steering. Made it home and popped open the hood. Started the car up and it starts, but none of my belts are moving at all (excuse my car repair naivete).

Can I get some hints on what is causing this? Just in case this shop has ripped me off I'd like to go back in with a little more knowledge. Thanks!

Well before beating up a shop, keep in mind things happen that are not due to intentionlly casue you greif. Any reputable repair shop would gladly look over their work.

Spin each pulley that the belt goes around are they all moving smoothly and not rough or sloppy. I the tensioner stuck? Call the shop, explain the stuation and they may be able to have you check while you are on the phone.

OFten times the reman alternators can be problematic that make a shop look bad.
