It seems that my Montero sport consumes more gas than my windstar. The montero has a smaller engine than my windstar.

What effects the fuel economy ? is just a tune up needed?

id say give it a tune up, check tire pressure, air filter.

check the O2 sensors also

how many speed tranny and did they both have overdrive? was one manual and one auto? how many gears in each?
