I recently had my mechanic replace the vlave cover gaskets and perform a major tune up and oild change. Since that time there is alot of air in the power steering system, noise during acceleration and turning, and power steering fluids leaks out when engine is out. How do I bleed the system in order to rectify this?

Hi ohammonds,

Power steering is self bleeding with full turn to turn of the steering wheel.

If the fluid foams out, it is due to air being sucked into system.

Check for leakage from reservoir to pump, especially the hose joint at pump, tends to distort if pushed too hard, if no leakage found, you need to replace pump assy.
