I went and had my oil changed , the mechanic told me that my rear seal is leaking. How much does this cost to fix and how much trouble is it to do at home? Is there anything I can do to stop the leak? It is losing about 4 quarts every 1500 mi.
Would it be better to trade it now? What's the worst that can happen?

Need to pull trans and flywheel. Probably cost 400 to 600. If home repair pack a lunch. Try some power steering leak sealant then straight to car lot.
