Newly rebuilt 2.6L engine blew main seal due to high oil pressure. Engine was ruined due to lack of oil. Engine was rebuilt again. Engine burst seams on oil filter. Oil and filter were replaced. Within minutes oil filter was bulging. Installed another brand of oil pump, oil pressure maxed out at idle. Engine rebuilder is going crazy (and broke) trying to solve the problem.

Any ideas?

If you replaced the oil pump after the first failure, that should rule out stuck pressure relief valve. The only other thing that comes to mind, at this point, is the oil holes in the main or cam bearings or both, are not lined up with the oil passages in the block. Let me know.
