Sometime in the morning when I will go to start it it will crank but not start. If I let it set a few hours and try again then it will start. It used to only do it in the morning but now is starting to do it more often. I live in Des Moines, Iowa and the temp. can range from 65 to 90 degrees when it does this. Your help would be great. Thank you

Hi booksarefun0,

When it could not start, you need to check/test for what is missing.

At bottom of post, click the " First Things To Check " link to get an idea what to look for and let me know what you find.

Read the guide below, it will help figure this out

I Know it isn't fuel problem because it will flood itself if you crank long enough and it only has 65,000 miles so most likely not compression. I don't think it is a computer problem because I never heard of a computer only working sometimes. Don't they usually just stop working completely? It sounds like maybe a distributer cap & rotor problem or could it be the whole distributer? Thank you for your help.
