Should I be charged separate labor charges for each part repaired/replaced? I.E, Labor to replace the discharge hose, labor to replace "O" rings, labor to replace the drier, labor to recharge the unit. Thank you.

I am not opposed to labor charges, but I am opposed to separate charges to repair one unit.

Labor charge should be per hour, not per unit fixed. Unless maybe at backyard mechanics. An actual repair shop will charge a per hour rate, with $50 being the average for small shops and $75 - $100 for dealer shops. If they were charging per unit fixed then you should have inquiried about the prices for each thing before repairs. If it was understood that they were charging per hour than you may be able to go a legal route for a refund?

Thank you so much. I have not had the repairs because I did not like the labor costs. This is from a Goodyear sponsored shop, which quoted me prices to replace each part and labor costs for each part.

I agree that labor should be quoted by the hour not by the part.

Thank you so much again.
