1995 Mitsubishi Mirage Turn signal

Recently my car was vandalized and a key was broken off in the ignition. The molding around the steering column was taken off but there were no wires cut. I was able to get the key out of the ignition and the car starts just fine. However, now the left turn signal goes all the time. I can't shut it off no matter where the lever is.

most likely the signal switch was hit during the theft attempt and probably broke something internal of the switch or maybe broke some wiring at the switch
