Hello. Last week I had brake work (new pads) done on vehicle. When I picked up the vehicle I noticed a high pitched noise when I turned the wheel to the right. I did not call the mechanic. I then noticed that my front tire was deflating, I told my boyfriend I thought the mechanic had rotated the tires. I then got on the highway and noticed that when I exceeded 60mph the steering became hard to control. I took it back to the shop yesterday and mentioned the squealing noise first and that I felt they had rotated the tires. The mechanic told me they did me a favor by putting the tires with the most tread on the front and the shaking was probably because the tires need to be balanced. They told me the squealing was from an epoxy that is put on the brake pads and they would file it down for me. The shaking was because the stabilizer links on both sides broke and I need to replace them. Ok, now my question. Is it really just a coincidence that both should break following a brake job?
