2004 Mitsubishi Lancer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

while i am driving the car feels lke its is bounding forward all the time when it does that the only way to stop it is to stop the car floor my foot but something is wrong i was told it could be the feul pump or maybe the timing belt and i think maybe its the alternator

Start with a full tune up, get the fuel pressure tested and get a scan done for any unresolved fault codes,tart here.
