2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Idling to high/fast

Everytime I am driving around town or slow for awhile and then put the car in park it idles at about 2,500 rpm. The car does not do that if I put it in park after driving on the highway or at a higher speed.

Check the idle air control valve/motor/ ISC and throttle position sensor
