2004 Mitsubishi Galant Power Locks Not Working

After Market Alarm installed.

Power locks do not work on car. Power unlock button on driver's side does not open doors and does not click.

Inserting the key in the driver's side only opens the driver's side door, none of the others.

Keyless entry did not unlock or lock doors.

Doors do not lock when driving like they used to.

Had an alarm system installed (after door locks were already inoperable) thinking that would fix the problem. It does not. The power windows work on all four windows from all four windows.

The guy that installed it said the wiring all looked intact and connected properly.

Not sure if it is the "switch", fuse or an actuator.

How can I determine which it is, and which fuses would I check?

I do have the service manual, but I can't narrow it down without the test equipment.

I think it's either the CDL relay inside the ECM or the Master Control Switch on the driver's side door.

The ECM still operates the lights, horn and other functions of the alarm that are routed the same way (the best I can tell)-so I don't think the ECM it's self is faulty.

I did let my car sit for a year in storage without a battery----do you think the ECM "forgot" the codes or whatever?

That is not likely to be the cause. After sitting for so long, there is a possibility some contacts have been contaminated and not working.

As the system requires appropriate testing equipments, you would have to look for it. Vehicles nowadays are not easy to guess as there are too many possibilities and without any testing aids, it is almost impossible to diagnose, unless you go about swapping out components.
