My 2004 Mitsubishi Galant keeps blowing white smoke out of the tail pipe what could be causing this.

Most common cause is blown headgasket. Any coolant loss? oil look normal?

Oil looks o.k. i haven't really checked the coolant should I?

Yes you may want to have radiator checked for traces of CO. if gasket is starting to fail a preemtive repair will save you an engine.
