Recently had my Transmission resealed after finding fluid under car. Following day after reseal noticed transmission fluid under car. Returned car to shop. Axle Seal replaced by shop. Wasn't done as part of the reseal. Shop didn't charge for replacing Axle Seal. Following day noticed fluid under car again. Returned to shop. Axle Seal replaced again at No Charge. Shop believed first seal may have been defective. Morning after Axle Seal replaced for second time noticed fluid continues to leak. Returned to shop. Shop now thinks axle may have a groove in it or may be bent slightly causing Axle Seal to fail. Dropping car off at shop again this coming week so they can take a closer look at it. Considering the transmission had been resealed is it possible the reseal failed? I'm even wondering if the current leak is the same leak that caused me to have the transmission resealed in the first place. What could be considered the most likely cause of this problem? Car drives fine except for the little puddles of transmission fluid I leave every where I park.

Hi there,

This we will just never know now, it will be up to the honesty of the repairer to advise you on what was leaking in the first place, drive shaft seals do a often leak after have been disturbed, but for a continuous leak from one is unusual, if it is the drive shaft seal leaking I would be checking that its not a poor quality seal being fitted, ask this question next.
