Hi everyone,
I read several topics here about the same problem that I have with Galant's overheating.
But mine is a little different, when I am driving water gauge is in normal position, but when I stop, it goes up.
Here's what I did: replaced the radiator because the mechanic said it was cracked, which I am still not sure about. The new radiator didn't solve the problem, now I changed the thermostat and still no result. What should I do? Please help!
About the fans I am not sure, I think they dont work properly, because when I stop the car and while engine is running, fans are not working at all, but when I turn on the AC they start spinning!
Please help !
Thanks,
Max

Hi there,

one fan should come on when the temp is high, the A/C will also turn on the fans when in operation, I would ask the mechanic to inspect the thermo fan sensor first, this is not the temp sender as don't get them confused.

Hey Maks,

I am actually having the exact same problem that you did more than 2 years ago. I went to an autoshop and they said that I had to replace the water pump and timing belt. Did you discover what the exact problem and solution was?

Thanks,
