2001 Mitsubishi Galant Oil Pressure Light

Whenever my brakes are pressed or the car is in park, the oil pressure light pulsates. The only time the light is on is when the car is in park or when braking. What may be the problem?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge could be just the oil pressure switch out of calibration
