The SRS light keeps popping up and I don't own a manual for this vehicle. I notice that the car engine seems to be shaking whenever I'm stationary like at a light or in a parking spot. The other day I turned the key in the ignition and at first the car didn't turn over. Then when I tried the second time it did.
What does the SRS light mean?
Thanks.

SRS means Supplemental Restraint System. It is the system that control your airbags.

The light coming on could be plenty of different reasons:

- Battery Low
- Blown Fuse
- Faulty Airbags
- Unplugged or faulty sensor

Best way to check would be with a scan tool.

As far as the car not turning over, the SRS has nothing to do with that.

I know there is a recall for 99 - 01 Galants for a faulty battery cable, might be worth it to check it out.

Let me know how it works out for you, best of luck!
