What are the cauese of gears sliping in the transmission?

Hi jgamble,

Slipping clutch in the trans means there is insufficient pressure on the clutch paltes.

Possible causes are

1. Insufficient fluid.
2. Leaking clutch or line pressure.
3. Weak fluid pump.
4. Improper clutch clearances
5. Faulty control, ie valve body or TCM.
