1997 Mitsubishi Galant door ajar light

I seem to be having a problem with the door ajar light for the drivers door. it stay on all the time. when the car is on or off. it is killing my battery and my car is always ead int he morning. i need help . please help me?

HI there,

try pushing in the switch with your finger to see if it goes of, if so the circuit is OK and the switch may just be sloppy and the door is not activating it properly, i would replace the switch. I if you are unsure about this, your mechanic can test this in just a few minutes.
