I have a 96 Galant. I recently got my car back from having the transmission replaced. The car seems to be running fine but I am hearing a low humming noise now. It happens when the air is on and it continues to make the noise after I turn the car off. I was told it might be the air compressor but I am not sure.

Hi SteffyLee622,

When the engine is turned off, the compressor stops so the noise could not be from it.

I would suspect the radiator or condenser fans to be the culprit. Check if any foreign materials are in the way of the fan blades.
