When I'm Driving and hit the gas pedal to go faster sometimes It starts to shake and I have to ease up on the gas pedal and apply it slowly to build up speed. I cannot take off fast I have to start off slow or I will get this vibration and no acceleration.What could it be?

Most probably the engine is misfiring due to spark plug, wire or coil problem.
