1995 Mitsubishi Galant Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150000 miles

I have a leak in my water pump from the weeping hole. I replaced the water pump and thermostat. What else can it be?

sounds like you got a defective pump,was it a reman or new? there is nothing internal that would cause a leak out of the weep hole it is an internal pump problem.return it to where you got it and get a new one.

it was new. Could a faulty radiator cap do it?

no ,a cap would not cause this problem,this is an intrnal pump problem, even though it is new there is a defect in it.
