Hi I have a 1993 Mitsubishi Galant 1.8l V6 with Auto gearbox.
Just yesterday the motor started "surging", i.e. speeding up and slowing down all by itself. I tried it in diferentt gears and even in park and it still continued to surge.

Are you able to tell me what might be causing this?

Thank you

Hi Tim Hamer,

The idling speed is too high caused by

1. Vacumn leakage.

2. Faulty ISC.

3. Idle adjust screw adjusted too high or loose.
