2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse humming sound when driving

2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse

my fiance says she hears a humming sound when she is driving down the road. I am curious to the cause of this sort of sound. could one of her bearings be going out??

As you driving try to turn the steering wheel just a bit left and or right notice any change in sound
and if so must likely its a bearing
have it checked
also check the tires for uneven wear
