air-conditioning working ok then started to blow hot air
took to mechanic for diagnostic and told compressor and belts and hoses all need to be replaced
quoted approx. $2,000 to repair
how urgent is the need to repair and does it seem to be a fair estimate for this work?

idk about belts and hoses but for compressor they charge 550-600$
