I noticed recently that when I acclerated fast my battery and brake LED's would flicker very fast. now this monring the brake and battery LED's are constantly lit. I assumed either my battery or alternator as the possible suspect.

I went to a local mechanic and they performed an electrical test and found that the battery and alternator are normal. the only issue that was found was during the "Charging System Test". I was getting a high voltage at 15.07VDC with no load and 14.71 under loaded condition (blower and headlights on).

They said that the high voltage (though high) is not the issue. What else could make the brake and battery LED's to remain on when the car is running.

It turns out the issue was a broken wire on a connector to the voltage regulator. A mechanic re-pinned the wire and both LED's extinguished. Also the mechanic performed another round of electrical tests. This time the "charging system test" were normal under no load and loaded conditions.
