2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse battery light

I have a new batt and I installed a new alternator. My battery light still comes on.

Check the power cable connecting the alternator to the battery. Also check the tension on the belt.

I did the same thing, just replaced the battery and the alternator and the light is on. I also suspet it is the belt tension as it generates electicity so it may be causing a small overload.
