Hi, my valve cover gasket is leaking oil and I need to replace it but was told that I need a special tool to measure how tight to put the bolts on. What is this tool?

Hello,

The tool is called a Torque Wrench and you can most likely rent one from your local rental store.

If you give me the sub-model and engine size in liters I will post the torq specs. I am sure you will need the wrench in Inch Pounds.

If they are the original then they are probably hard and will be hard to get out. So if they break up getting them out don't worry.
