The evaporator has a drain hose for draining out condensation water and the symptoms described indicates it is clogged.
The drain hose is at the lowest portion of the evaporator housing and leads out to the firewall into engine compartment.
You can try squeezing the hose from engine cpompartment to clear the blockage. If the blockage is not from hose but from evaporator housing, disconnect the drain hose and use something flexibble to poke into the drain hole to clear any blockage.
Water would drain out so a plastic sheet to collect the drained water is necessary to prevent the carpet getting wet.
