My car most of the time runs hot, I have replaced the radiator, thermostat, cooling fan, temp sensor, waterpump, hoses, and even head gasket. What else could possibly be the problem now?The check engine light is on, but I have checked many times and its still the catalyc converter that need to be replaced. Since they said its not really necessary to replaced it, I havent replaced it untill now. Im stuck and dont know what else to do to fix this problem and I have spent too much just to fix this problem. Will someone help me please.

Wow -- you did everything related to cooling.

So are you thinking a clogged catalytic converter is the culprit?

If it were me, I would verify that all of things I replaced are working correctly, beginning with the temp sensors (both for the guage and the engine coolant sensor), the electric fans, and that the water pump is actually circulating water.

Sometimes a new part is actually as bad as the old one.

My Eclipse cracked the radiator. I put a new one in -- still overheated, then I ended up replacing everything, all hoses, radiator fans, coolant termp sensor and new thrmostat. One of those fixed it.
