2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse High idle

I just replaced the idle air control valve and now the car idles at about 1750 rpm. The idle does not come down after the car is warmed up. How do i bring the idle back down. The idle was right before i replaced the valve.

one thing you will want to check for is a disconnected, vacuum hose. also try cycling the key to on ,off on, off ,on and see if this will seat it correctly, it works on some vehicles . also try cleaning out the throttlebody and plate , could be sticking now
