Hi. My Eclipse has been having a very strange problem. I can't pin down what is wrong. The Battery light and brake light(E-brake) come on at the same time between the rpms of 2000 and 3000. I had the alternator checked and rebuild because they said it wasn't running in the right range and it still does it. I even tried installing a completely new alternator. Neither were successful. When the check lights are on is the only time the battery charges. Which is the opposite of what it should be. The guys at the alternator place said they have no clue what it could be but the alternator is working fine. The only time I find that I can get the battery to charge is by turning on the air conditioner all the way up and headlights. Then is seems to charge the system otherwise I am constantly having to charge the battery. Any ideas???
Thanks Tim

Hi Timb13,

Check if the crankpulley is faulty if it is equipped with a rubber damper.
