1999 eclipse rs, with the 420a, its stock other than exhaust and cold air intake, i replaced the clutch and pressure plate, then afterwards it started idling at anywhere from 2500 to 4000 rpm's, it did this before but not nearly as bad, also, its not a steady idle, it will go up and down on its own, and sometimes if i tap the throttle, it will go down to about 1500 and go back up, i dont have an O2 sensor, but the problem started long after that was gone, thanks for any help

I believe the Idle Air Control ( IAC) valve is faulty or sticking causing the high idling.
