1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse clutch noise

everytime i push the clutch down on my car i hear a rattling/sheering noise from the transmission. i think it is the release bearing but im not sure. can you help?

Sounds like it and while you're in there I recommend you replace the clutch assembly
