ok i want this mitsubishi eclipse it has 142 miles on it so its pretty old. most cars start having proablem by 200 miles or they just plain die. My? is if i put a rebuild engine in it will the millage go down? I no the meter will stay the same but wat about under the hood and will all the other stuff last as long as the rebuild engine will last like the suspension and every think else in the car?

near 150000 just about every suspention component should be or should have been already replaced.

ie ball joints, tie rod, cv joints/boots, body mounts, shocks/struts. just to name a few.

150000 is a lot of miles, but not bad if the vehicle was well maintained.
