When I push in the a/c button the light turns green but with in a few seconds the light starts blinking. Is my compressor shot or do I just need to get it recharged?

Hi there,

The first thing to do is have the A/C systems pressure checked, and have a leak test done, this is a simple job, a small charge of refrigerant with a leak detector dye is added to the system and the dye will stain where any leak is evident, start here and re post if you still have problems. Here are two guides to help you get the job done.

and

Please go over these guides and report back.

I bought one of the recharge bottles from walmart with a gauge and it was reading between 120 and 150 psi. I drained the a/c and recharged it to about 30 to 35 psi but it still will not work. So I was testing and the compressor clutch is shorted out so I ordered a new one that should fix it, thanks.
